Philosophical investigations - Ludwig Wittgenstein
Philosophical investigations - Ludwig Wittgenstein
Philosophical Investigations is one of the most important and influential philosophical works of modern times. First published in 1953, two years after the author’s death, it has acquired the status of a classic. It was done by Wittgenstein during the period 1929–49, in the words of the editor, “as a continuation of and at the same time an abandonment of the Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus”. It covers topics in the philosophy of logic, of mathematics, of mind, of knowledge, of meaning, of the foundations of ethics and much other topics of central concern to philosophers.
