Autobiographical anecdotes of the S.A. War; Growth of golf in Natal & Transvaal; South Africa's first golfing dynasty - C.H. Moore
This book is not all about the early days of golf in South Africa - but includes Clarrie's experiences as a medical orderly with the R.A.M.C's Ad Hoc Imperial Yeomanry Field Hospital & Bearer Company during the Anglo Boer War. The Bearer Company lasted for about a year only before being disbanded and replaced with trained nurses.
There are also stories about game hunting on Clarrie's farm in the Zoutpansberg, Medical marvels in the Swiss Mission Hospital in Elim, Limpopo, some of Ian Moore's golfing yarns and several championship golf tales about the Brews and Pappas brothers.
